Alicia Keys teams up with Courtney Love cohortAlicia Keys has teamed up with Courtney Love's current collaborator Linda Perry.
Keys last studio album was 2003's 'The Diary Of Alicia Keys'.
Speaking about Perry, Keys said: "(She)'s written a tremendous amount of incredible work. And us together, us as both being musicians and being writers has really created this incredible music."
The album, which has been been rumoured to be called 'As I Am', features collaborations with John Legend and Timbaland as well as Perry, reports MTV News.
Song that are expected to feature on the album are 'Superwoman', 'Saviour', 'Reckless', 'Like You'll Never See Me Again', 'Lesson Learned', 'Heavy Times' and 'Sweet Tooth'.
No release date has been set, but it is believed the album will come on in the autumn. Air Guitar Competition Shreds The Nation
Details regarding the fifth annual US Air Guitar Championships are beginning to roll in, inspiring axe-less axe men and women across the country to dust off their invisible Les Pauls and get ready to rock. Joining forces with GMG Entertainment, the 2007 US Air Guitar Championship will embark on a 14-city hunt for a top shredder, with MC Bjorn Turoque, star of Air Guitar Nation and author of To Air Is Human, along for the June trek. But that's not all. Come August 14, preliminary winners will fly to New York for the final showdown, where one lucky guitarist will walk away with the coveted US championship title in addition to advancing to the World Air Guitar Championships held in Oulu, Finland, where representatives from at least 13 other countries will continue the competition.
